AccuLength 3000 Series Junior Golf Set

AccuLength 3000 Series Junior Golf Set

AccuLength Series 3000 Junior Golf Set Accu-Length 3000 Series (4'6" to 5'6"). In a child's final stage before advancing to adult clubs, our 3000 series maintains a strong resemblance to adult sets, but with more forgiveness and ease of use. No other club on the market provides exact fitting for junior golfers, giving them the best chance to learn a proper swing. At this level, the Accu-Length 3000 series provides maximum durability and strength. Set Includes: * 3000 Series Wood * 7-Iron * Pitching Wedge * Putter * Custom Golf Bag * Custom Assembly Tools (2) * Locking Screws (4) * Spacers additional (4) The Science Behind AccuLength Golf Clubs The Accu-Length golf club system was born out of the idea that many parents don't want to buy new golf clubs for their children every year. It has been a four-year process of designing, patenting, testing and launching the Accu-Length Expandable Junior Golf Club System. The technology in the AccuLength expandable clubs is the patented shaft spacer system that allows you to add one inch of shaft length to accommodate your child's growth. The average child grows two and a half inches per year, and professionals agree that for every two inches your child grows, an inch should be added to their club. So every year, your child gets a custom fit golf club. Accu-Length golf clubs have been exhaustively tested with a maximum of four spacers, so each club is designed to be used for up to five seasons. Additionally, each club has a “lock” at the top of the shaft that is designed to guarantee the grip will not unscrew or rotate during use. Head weight, loft and shaft flexibility are three very important elements to a quality junior golf club. Each set of Accu-Length golf clubs have been designed with proper head weights and lofts for the intended age group. As your child grows and their skills develop, the spacer system of the Accu-Length golf club actually stiffens the shaft, slowly easing the forgiveness of the club as the speed of your child's swing speed increases. With high-quality, scratch-resistant stainless steel heads, your child will enjoy years of golfing fun with clubs built just like Dad’s. Golf tips: Choosing the right golf clubs on the course

I have finally found a topic that I speaks to me: golf, and all the permutations thereof. I have been playing this agonizing game since the age of 9, which may indicate some mental illness, but that is another topic that we dare not broach at this juncture.

There are no shortages of details to the old game and it seems the more one improves the more fascinating golf becomes. Paradoxically, the simpler one tries to approach this game, the better one may play too. The mental side is at least half (and some experts say even 90%)of a player's 'success' in golf. Think of it as zen practice with sticks.

In choosing the right clubs on the course one must be familiar with one's own game and know the distance he averages with each club. For me it is 2 iron: 200 yards, 3 iron: 190 yards, 4 iron: 180 yards, and so on in 10 yard increments with each club. Keep in mind that this is approximate and is wholly dependent on a variety of factors, which include wind, temperature, adrenaline, or simply how my back is feeling. More technically, and I hate this part, there is your swing speed, type of golf ball, club maker, shaft, etc. to consider.

The location of the golf course can determine the distance your ball will travel If playing at a higher altitude you will hit it significantly farther (about 10% at 6500 ft.) than at sea level. Conversely, at sea level and in more humid conditions, the ball won't fly as far. One must factor in the nature of the golf course as well. Are the fairways firm or soft? What kind of grass is prevalent? Bermuda grass is spongier than fescue and tends to limit a golf ball's roll, assuming you get it airborne. How close the fairways are cut can affect distance too.

If you've ever watched the British Open all these variables are on wonderful display. The wind is usually much more of a factor than here in the States (except Texas). The hard fairways contribute much more distance, just as the rain or cold weather can detract. When competing it is not unusual to see seasoned pros misclub by not accounting for the adrenaline coursing through their bodies. This can happen anywhere and is independent from weather variables.

Finally there is psychological element to consider when trying to determine the right club on the course. And that is the machismo factor. Hitting the longest drive is everyone's favorite goal, at least at times. Keeping up with your playing companions off the tee is not always in your best interest. Keeping the ball 'in play' is. This may necessitate hitting a club you are confident in rather than blasting away with your big headed driver. 300 yards and out of bounds isn't so great, but a 5 iron and a 8 iron and 2 putts for a par is. Keep a zen mind and keep your ego at bay until it's time to sign your scorecard.

The history of golf

The Royal and Ancient sport of golf is aptly named as it is indeed a game that is ancient and has royal connections, a game reputed to date back centuries and first played for real in Scotland, the home of golf. The Dutch also lay claim to starting the game, using the term kolf, but most historians agree that the game was first played in earnest on the links around Scotland. To this day, St Andrews is considered the home of golf and is the place where you will find the headquarters of the R&A, the governing body who oversee the game in Europe. From very early and humble beginnings, golf has grown into a multi-million dollar sport with rich rewards for those who excel at the game. Tiger Woods is the most outstanding example of this as he heads toward becoming the first sportsman to earn 1 billion dollars.

Those who played golf in the early days used basic clubs that bear little resemblance to the golf clubs we use today. Hickory shafted clubs were the order of the day and clubs were hand-made which increased their cost for their time. Many of these clubs are now worth much more as collectors items. The golf balls were also very different from those we use now, the early golfers using "featheries" and eventually gutta percha balls. The style of clothing worn can be seen from early photographs as golfers walked the fairways wearing jackets taht would today be considered very restrictive when attempting to swing the golf club.

The history of the game includes the Open Championships held in places like St Andres, Prestwick and Troon and also the players of the day whose names are now recorded in history. Allan Robertson and Tom Morris are jsut two of the gentlemen of old who won the greatest prize of the day, the Open Championship and this tradition has continued to the present time with the event now considered one of the four majors. The development of the professional game ahs also seen the Augusta Masters, US Open and US PGA being added to this list of majors that are so coveted by professional golfers.

Golf is a game of strong tradition and many enjoy a trip back in time to see the old golfers in the unique garb, using hickory clubs and old golf balls. These things are recorded in photographs and even some live footage that remind us of the humble beginnings of what has become a truly great game. As we watch Tiger Woods stride the fairways as the greatest golfer the world has known, we are reminded of the early days when this great game began as part of a game that is very much Royal and Ancient.

Tips to Improving Your Golf Game

Golf masters do accept one point that they concur upon.  If you don't maintain your poise throughout the full swing, it isn't conceivable to have a decent shot.  It sounds easy to maintain your poise, does it not?  Regrettably, it's out of the question to have decent poise when you're so stressed that you're white knuckled on the golf club, your whole torso is tense, and you're attempting to strike the ball too heavily.

As you're first beginning to play golf, you're often admonished to not strike the ball too heavily.  Vigour that's centered will force the ball go a great deal farther than a heavy swing that doesn't make connection with the ball at the clubs midpoint.  If you're well poised, you're looser to strike the ball decently.

Hold your head motionless, with your eyes concentrated on the ball.  The more static your head is, the clearer you'll be capable of focusing on the ball.  This serves to make the basis for you to maintain your poise.  Whatsoever motion or lack of concentration that obstructs your poise will make it extremely difficult to concentrate on the ball.  It's crucial that you keep your head absolutely motionless and don't tilt it throughout your swing.

When you would like to maintain your poise, you want to loosen up your torso and muscles.  If you do not loosen up, then your head is going to tilt.

If you'll look at yourself before your mirror, you'll quickly understand that you must loosen up your muscles for your head to remain motionless whilst you swing.  No two golf players possess identical build, therefore you'll have to work out a few matters for yourself.  It's a requirement to start by holding your head in the same location from the commencement to conclusion of your swing.  If you keep your head motionless, you'll be able to center on the ball, and you'll rotate your hands at the proper time.

You'll be able to remedy a lot of of your troubles simply by holding your head totally motionless.  It will be extremely difficult to falsely grip your club without falling out of poise and tilting your head.

If you do not follow through exactly, you will not be capable of maintaining your poise.

If you focus on your poise and holding your head motionless, then you won't swing too heavily or force your club away.  It will be extremely difficult to put too much force into your swing.  You'll be loose and will have a polished swing and a successful follow through.

Maintaining your poise is essential for you to savor a bang-up game of golf.  It will take time for you to see definite advancement, so be patient.  Focus on maintaining your poise and your head in one position and very fast you'll be savouring a first-class golf game that your friends will be totally jealous!

Master your Iron Play Now

Amazing Long-lost Manuscript Resurfaces With The Secrets To  Precision Iron Play For Today’s Budding Golfers

You'll Be Playing Like A Pro In No Time
Hitting Longer, Stronger And Straighter Shots
With No Extra Effort

You'll baffle your friends as you hit 40 to 50-yards longer with your iron clubs every time... eliminating your hooks and slices (forever!).... and shaving 10 to 20 strokes off your game in the process!
And while everyone else continues to have "good" days and "bad" days on the links you'll be treating every green and fairway as your own "home court advantage" that allows you to make up for weak drives, bad lies and even sand-trap woes with dead-solid-perfect iron play that would make Ben Hogan jealous!

By the way, prepare yourself to enjoy golf like never before.... to play the way you've always wanted to play.... and to be admired (and envied) by all your golf buddies! Because you're going to start nailing pars and birdies like a PGA touring pro, no matter how tough the course is, or how much pressure is on you, or how much your buddies try to distract you.

I hate to tell you this, but you’re only a few moments away from pissing off a whole bunch of your golfing buddies. Pretty soon, they’re going to hate your guts and they may never want to play golf with you ever again.  That my friend, is the highest form of respect you can get on the golf course.

Listen - if you're anywhere near as serious about your golf game as I am, you can see what a mind-blowing opportunity this is! Ninety-nine percent of all amateurs have no clue how to hit the irons with accuracy and consistency.... and most professionals still misunderstand it!

Whether you're a beginner, novice, intermediate or advanced golfer, this wonderful manuscript called  "How To Master The Golf Irons" (which was nearly lost to the world forever) is perfect for you.

Information about Alhaurin Golf on the Costa del Sol Golf, Spain

Alhaurin Golf is an ambitious golf club and boasts three golf courses, which were designed by Seve Ballesteros.

Alhaurin Golf on Costa del Sol Golf sits just behind the Mijas mountain range on the Costa del Sol and beautifully blends in with its rugged natural surroundings.

It is an ambitious golf club and boasts three golf courses, 27 holes of which were designed by Spain’s favorite son the legendary Seve Ballesteros.

There is a full length 18 hole golf course, a short 18 hole course for juniors and a further 9 hole par 3 course, players of all levels can enjoy the main course and some holes have up to six different tee positions. It is a good test for even the most accomplished golfer who would be wise to make use of his long irons rather than a driver on many holes.

Alhaurin Golf Course itself is attractive with well kept green fairways set against the mountainous backdrop and natural vegetation. The main characteristic is the hilly design adapted to the surroundings with tight fairways all of varying degrees of difficulty, fast greens, lakes and ample bunkers.

The views are spectacular where the Mediterranean and Africa can be seen from the south and the mountains from the north. Our advice is to take advantage of the buggies normally included with the green fee, as walking across the hilly terrain will spoil your day and be very exhausting.

Alhaurin Golf is the perfect retreat for those looking for peace and tranquility with clear mountain air, you can get all this whilst being only 20 minutes away from the coast.

Alhaurin Golf are very strict about booking tee times and specify this must be done by fax giving names and handicaps of players. There is a driving range, pro-shop and tuition can be arranged on a group or individual basis.

Golfing Equipment Basics - Equipment Tips For New Golfers

By Dave Talbot

Golfing for a beginners is an often written about topic, yet an area which is grossly overlooked is what kind of equipment should beginners start out with?

There are lengthy books on developing the correct swing, practice tips and even training, but unfortunately the golfer who is just starting out to play golf, is left at the mercy of the pro-shop salesmen to buy his or her beginner's golf equipment. Big, brand name sports equipment manufacturers spend a lot of money on advertising in order to persuade the unknowing customer that they have the best clubs and balls and equipment for you.

They get your favorite sports stars to endorse their products making them look like an even more lucrative bargain. However, every one is not a Tiger Woods and will not require the kind of equipment he uses from day one of learning to golf.

Using the driver that Tiger Woods does, will not enable you to use it to your best ability and you are best suited for a driver that matches your playing style. Similarly, for golf balls and other beginner's golf equipment, it is the same case.

What to use:

Golf Clubs

Golf clubs are going to be your most expensive purchase and therefore you should spend a lot of time researching on a set of clubs which will work best for you. It is advisable to not go by brands as this can be misleading so try and focus on what works for you, as they will affect the way you play golf.

Golf clubs are primarily made of Graphite and Steel. There are alternative materials too, like carbon fibre and titanium and composite alloys, but it is best to stick to the tried and trusted steel and graphite.

Steel shafted clubs are far more durable than either graphite or carbon fibre, and they are stronger too, but they are also heavier to use and carry around. They also have better accuracy and control as compared to graphite shafted clubs.

They also have a far lower level of twisting, but do not have the same effective range as graphite shafted golf clubs. You will require more power and a faster swing to make your golf balls go an extra distance.

These work best for beginners as they help beginners starting out to develop their control and accuracy. They are also used by golfers who have a slightly faster swing speed than normal.

Graphite shafted clubs are far more expensive and they are not as durable or robust as steel shafted golf clubs. They also generate large power levels, with a slower swing speed and are therefore effective as driver clubs.

As they are also lighter than steel clubs they can generate faster swing speeds, which will take your ball farther. Although they take your ball farther, they also have downside which is an associated loss of control over the ball on behalf of the flex created while swinging.

Graphite clubs are also easier to swing as they vibrate less with the impact to the ball, and are better suited to women and senior golfers who may have problems generating enough swing speed to manage a steel shafted golf club properly.

Choosing a correct shaft flex or level of stiffness for the club is important too.

Golfing pros use a high level of stiffness for they can generate high swing speeds at the club head, and are therefore able to generate more power from a stiff flex.

Golf Balls

It is quite pointless to spend a lot of money on pro level golf balls, when you can buy good golf balls at a dollar each at Wal-Mart. When you start playing golf as a beginner, you will lose a lot of your balls so you need to take this into consideration.

It might seem very cool to play with a pro level ball, but it will not affect your skill development or your game in any manner at this point. Once you become more proficient in your golfing skills, you can then move up in golf ball quality from standard golf balls to professional quality golf balls.

Gloves

Golfing gloves are really a matter of personal preference. The professionals on TV might wear them, but they are not really necessary unless you have extra sweaty hands or it is raining when you play.

If you do feel you need one then you can buy a leather one at any sporting store for $5-$10 but using a glove is not a necessity.

Golf Shoes

Golf shoes are essential while golfing for they will prevent you from slipping while swinging, which can happen. They can be purchased for as little as $50, all you need to ensure is that they are comfortable and you are wearing socks underneath.

This is about the entire beginner's golf equipment you might need to start off. You will also require golf tees and divot repair tools, which can be purchased for a few cents at any pro shop.

You will also need a permanent marker to mark your balls with and a golf bag to carry your clubs around.

5 Tips to Choosing a Beginner's Golfing Club For Ladies

By Heather Jacobson

Golf is said to be the most social sport among all other professional events. As this sport provides a good workout, golf is also an ideal pastime for any age, whether they are seniors or children. Basically, anybody who wants to be active can take up golf as a sport. Because there is a need for regular workouts among the busy people of today, any form of exercise, like golf, is highly encouraged. Even women are getting into this popular event, such that professional names like Annika Sorentsam and Lorena Ochoa are among the most talked about.

For those ladies who want to try out golf, it is not that hard to get started. One of the best ways to learn how to play the game is to join a golf club. If you need a little help in deciding which golf club to sign up for, here are five tips in choosing a beginning golf club for ladies:

1. Consider the location. It pays to scope your area of interest. Are you hoping to join a club that is nearer to your home, a few minutes drive from work, or both? You need to pick a beginning golf club that is convenient for you to visit, so that you will not be discouraged to go there regularly.

2. Will you be getting some assistance? Of course, since you are a newbie to golf, it is better to find a golf club that offers lessons or tutorials. Usually, there are trained coaches that help you determine an ideal swing, as well as advice you on the best set of golf clubs to suit your level of skill.

3. What facilities are available? Most golf clubs, aside from having private golf tutors, also have driving ranges for those who want to practice their swing. Also, it will be nice to join a club that offers dining, as well as has facilities like showers, lockers, golf carts, caddies, and others. Check how much the membership fees are and gauge if the rates are worth the facilities available.

4. How does the course look like? There are several aspects that course designers consider when creating a golf course. Choose a course that has a low level of difficulty, since you are just a beginner.

5. Get personal referrals. Ask any relatives or friends who have taken up golf, and seek advice on which golf clubs are ideal for those who are just starting out on the game. You may even ask them to come along with you when choosing, so they can help you determine which aspects of your beginning golf club are good or not.

Heather recommends getting women's golf clubs for the best performance. Golf clubs for women are the best.
